Organisation:  Football Unites, Racism Divides
Location:  Remote or Sheffield
Hours:  Part-time, flexible
Duration:  Flexible (to be agreed) – One day per week
Salary:  Unpaid (reasonable expenses will be covered)

About the Opportunity:

FURD is offering a part-time unpaid internship for people interested in community cohesion, social justice and inclusion. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a respected community organisation working regionally, nationally and internationally.
The role is flexible and can be done remotely or from FURD’s Sheffield offices, with weekly check-ins to support your learning and development.

The role

  • To support a network of organisations working on community cohesion
  • Helping respond to enquiries from community groups and partners
  • Assisting with the development of resources and guidance
  • Supporting research, coordination and general project work
  • Developing a strategic and delivery approach to this area of work

Who are we looking for?
This role is ideal for people who:

  • Are organised, reliable and comfortable working independently
  • Have excellent written and good verbal communication skills
  • Have an interest in community work, equality, inclusion or social justice
  • Have some knowledge of approaches to this area of work
