This research study aimed to critically appraise 'Football Unites, Racism Divides' (FURD) engagement of black females in amateur football within Sheffield. Its objectives were to identify the barriers that black, female individuals face within football participation from a black feminist perspective. It also intended to critically question black, female participants’ perceptions and experiences whilst examining FURD’s influence on empowering black females to overcome exclusion and identified barriers. The purpose of this research was to provide a list of recommendations for FURD to develop the provision of black female football participation.
