Women’s football trials

Football Unites is offering free football sessions for women aged 16 or over at Sheffield United’s Academy (indoors) from 4pm-6pm on Sunday 29th January. There are two aims to this:

Firstly, to encourage young women to get together in teams to enter a 5-a-side competition called ‘Your Game’ being held by Football Unites and the BBC on Saturday 1st April. There will be separate tournaments for males and females aged 16-24 and it’s aimed mainly at people who aren’t already playing in organised teams. There’s room in the women’s tournament for 12 teams, so if you’d like to take part, get in touch! If you haven’t got a team, we might be able to find one for you!

Secondly, Football Unites would like to start a women’s team. Again, come along to the Academy at the above time, or contact us if you’re interested.
