Vibes and Unity event

14 Apr 2010 / News

FURD is planning a Vibes and Unity event for Saturday 1st May 2010, on Devonshire Green in Sheffield, from 1-4pm.
The aim of this community-wide event is to encourage young people to use their vote in the general election, to tackle racism in Sheffield and promote unity and respect, and follows on from the successful and enjoyable Vibes and Unity event we held on 23rd May 2009.
We intend to have a stage with band performances, a DJ, public speakers and Street Kick mobile inflatable football game. We should have a very successful day bringing the community together and spreading FURD’s anti-racist message.
We need volunteers to help plan and run this event and some others that are coming up soon. If you're aged 16-25 and would like to get involved as a V volunteer, please contact charlotte@furd.org .If anyone is interested in holding a stall at the Vibes and Unity event, please contact afrah@furd.org
