FURD
FURD is hosting a free city-centre festival, 'Vibes and Unity', this Saturday, 1st May, on Devonshire Green, Sheffield, from 1pm-4pm. FURD's 'V' volunteers have taken a lead in planning the event, which aims to promote unity as well as encouraging young people to use their vote in the forthcoming local and national elections on Thursday 6th May.
The event will include speakers and entertainment including African drummers, belly dancers, Indian dancers, hip hop dancers, the Steel City Cartel dancers, SD Crew and FURD's own Sound Kickers. Also on offer will be food stalls, information stalls, Streetkick inflatable football pitch, bouncy castle and other children's activities.
