Stop Racism - competition for United Nations Anti-Racism Day!

The United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is on Sunday 21th March 2021 and the theme this year is 'Youth standing up against racism'.

To show your support, we're inviting you to stand up to racism by getting creative. You may even win a prize!

Choose whatever art form you like, whether that's lyrics, photography, art, drama - the choice is yours. 

Winning entries will be shared on this website and our social media channels. Winners will also be offered an hour's free use of our football pitch, recording studio or dance studio at the U-Mix Centre (subject to Covid restrictions).

Anyone of any age is welcome to send in their entries to lisa@furd.org by 31st March. Good luck!

The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on the day the police in Sharpeville, South Africa, opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration against apartheid "pass laws" in 1960. For more information follow this link:
