FURD-backed team Sharrow United have secured promotion back into the Meadowhall Sheffield and District Sunday League Premier Division.
Sharrow were relegated last season for the first time in their fifteen year history, but have bounced back as Division One champions, finishing one point ahead of nearest rivals Mosborough.
Founder member Asim Shazad said, `I'm really happy we've won the league. I've been involved for fifteen years and this is the first time we've been champions and it's a nice feeling. It's so important we've got back into the Premier League and now we can challenge for the title and I'm really looking forward to it. I want to thank all the players and staff who have made this possible.`
