Sharrow United suffered a dramatic penalty shoot-out defeat to Packhorse Inn in the semi-final of the Meadowhall Sunday League Cup on Sunday. The match ended in a 0-0 stalemate and the penalty shoot-out score stood at 2-2 when it moved into the sudden death stage. Arctic Monkeys guitarist Jamie Cook stepped up to score for Packhorse, whose victory was sealed when the Packhorse goalkeeper saved United's next kick to take them into the final.
Sharrow United is ten years old this year and the club is planning a celebration event in June. More details will follow.
