New Cyrille Regis and Walter Tull exhibitions now open

13 Mar 2019 / News

Throughout March, we have two new exhibitions on display at our home the U-Mix Centre in Sheffield.

Walter Tull: His Life and Legacy was produced by Folkestone Museum and tells the story of Tull, one of the first black professional footballers and an officer in the British Army who was killed in action in World War 1. This display complements our Walter Tull comic and other material in our unique resources and information centre.

Only One Cyrille Regis was produced by Sheffield Stand Up to Racism with support from FURD and tells the story of the former England star and how he dealt with the racism he faced in the late 1970s and 1980s.

Entry to the exhibitions is free. We're open 7 days a week between 10am and 10pm during the week and until 8pm at weekends. Just call in, or contact us if you'd like to bring a group. Tea and coffee is available for £1 a cup.

Copies of the souvenir programme produced for our recent Only One Cyrille Regis event are also still available.

From April onwards, the exhibitions will be available for hire by other organisations.
