Today, 28th October, is a special day - the 148th Anniversary of Arthur Wharton's birth in Accra, Gold Coast.
FURD's Arthur Wharton Heritage Project is currently finalising a 6-piece set of educational materials, comprising of a documentary, new website, booklet, three PowerPoint presentations for use in school assemblies and lessons, exhibition and comic book.
The materials are to be launched at a special event on Thursday 28th November at the U-Mix Centre, Sheffield, from 4.30 to 6.00pm. Please contact Ruth Johnson at FURD if you would like to attend.
