We've now begun delivery of the National Citizen Service pilot pathfinder programme, in partnership with UK Youth.
During October half term, we took 31 16 and 17 year olds to London for a residential where they worked with young people from Manchester and Hackney on various projects including a Monopoly Challenge, rocket making and making coffees at Starbucks. They also went to Go Ape, went sightseeing and experienced London restaurants and transport. The young people are now getting to work on their community projects, which include football coaching.
We're now recruiting a second group of 16-17 year olds to take part in the scheme, starting with a residential in London over the weekend of 25-27th November.
On this government backed programme, participants build skills for work and life, while taking on new challenges and adventures, making new friends, and contributing to their community.
If you or anyone you know is interested in getting involved, please get in touch to find out more.
