Kickz is not just for boys

Street Dance is a partnership delivery between Kickz and Sport Sharrow (Activity Sheffield) and over the past few months the Kickz Street Dance session has seen a cohort of girls enjoying themselves. The regulars from around Sharrow have been working out moves to the latest tunes on a Wednesday evening in the Old Sharrow School Hall.

A number of dances have been practiced and Activity Sheffield Dance Instructor Faye took the group for their first performance when the Derek Dooley Community Centre at Crookes was renamed. They treated the public to a performance to music from Hairspray and they went down a storm. They also performed at the recent Kickz Launch Event and they are now practising for Community Day on 17th May.

The group meet every Wednesday 5pm – 6pm at the Old Sharrow School and would welcome new dancers to the group aged 8 – 16 years old. No experience is required just come along and have fun at this free session.
