The FSC supports those communities living in the vicinity of sports stadia. It is a national organisation with over 150 member groups. Our aim is to improve the quality of life in stadium neighbourhoods. We are seeking:
Information and Development Officer - Ethnic Minority Communities.
Based in Stoke on Trent, 37.5 hrs a week.
3 year contract £16,500 per annum
The post holder will be expected to assist the development of the FSC through the provision of:
A targeted support service to ethnic minority groups.
The development of extensive links with relevant public, sporting, statutory and voluntary agencies.
Applicants will need to demonstrate:
An understanding of different cultures.
An awareness of issues impacting on ethnic minority communities.
A commitment to developing and empowering disadvantaged groups.
Experience of working in multi-cultural communities.
An understanding of Equal Opportunities issues.
An ability to gather, analyse and disseminate information in various forms.
We particularly welcome applications from individuals possessing a working knowledge of relevant community languages.
