Football Unites Community Coach Desbon Bushiri and Sharrow United secretary Kevin Titterton have linked up with the next Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, at Bramall Lane.  Gordon Brown had asked to meet them after they were interviewed for a book he is producing about outstanding examples of voluntary action. They talked about the work Football Unites does in schools and in the community and the challenges they face. Mr Brown told Desbon and Kevin that the work of Football Unites is an excellent example of what can be achieved in local communities.

The book is expected to be called 'Britain's Everyday Heroes: the making of the good society', and tells the stories of ordinary people whose willing commitment to a cause or a community has informed and inspired him. The book is due to be published on 24th July.
