Teams of FURD workers are now in Ukraine and Poland at the invitation of UEFA, taking part in the 'Respect Diversity - Football Unites' programme of activities working to ensure a safe and friendly experience for fans from all countries.

FURD is running a series of Streetkick events for fans to play football, meet and have fun together in some of the host cities. Reports so far are all good. The first Streetkick at the fanzone in Kiev took place yesterday. FURD's Mehrun Ahmed said,

"It was a really friendly atmosphere, we had Russian, Ukrainian and Swedish fans playing with each other as well as with volunteers from FURD and EEDI (East European Development Institute). There's a really positive vibe here, and no trouble so far".

FURD's Poland team met Dutch legend Ruud Gullit when he attended the official opening of the Streetkick game at the Warsaw fanzone. Read the story at the UEFA site via the link below.
