FURD women’s football features in BBC film

FURD's teams playing in the women's open age and walking football categories of the FA People's Cup 5-a-side tournament recently caught the eye of a BBC film crew. The camera crew has since been back to film at one of our weekly women and girls' training sessions, and the resulting 90 second film is now on the BBC Sport Get Inspired website. Our women's walking football team made it through to the national semi-finals of the FA People's Cup in the first year the competition has included a women's walking football category. Our team narrowly missed out on getting through to the finals, finishing third in their group in the semi-finals in Leeds on Saturday 23rd March.
