FURD
FURD would like to thank all the students and staff from Sheffield Hallam University who have worked hard this year to raise much-needed funds to help us continue our work.
FURD was one of six nominated local charities to be chosen to benefit from fundraising activities organised by Events Management students from the University. Eventure presented FURD with a cheque for £909.64 at the The Platform Project Awards ceremony on Thursday 30th April 2015.
Students planned and delivered, in consultation with FURD staff, fund-raising football tournaments with accompanying food, film screenings and other good things at the U-Mix Centre in February and March.
FURD Project Co-ordinator Mehrun Ahmed said, "It was great to work with the students who worked hard and enthusiastically to put on some really enjoyable events for the local community. We hope we can continue this partnership with Sheffield Hallam University in the future."
