FURD
Sport Relief, Comic Relief´s sporty sibling to Red Nose Day, have awarded a total of £90,000 towards co-ordination costs and the Streetkick initiative. The grant is to be spent over a three year period, and FURD have invested a sizeable chunk in a replacement for their aging wooden Streetkick game.
It is estimated that the game was used at over 200 events in it´s five year life, and it was with a tinge of sadness when FURD´s spectacular inflatable pitch arrived.
FURD staff are currently mulling over what to do with the original, and are open to offers!
