We are pleased to report that the Big Lottery Fund has awarded us an Awards for All grant of 9,918 pounds to sustain and develop our 'Belonging Together' group. The grant will enable us to deliver a series of single sex activities including football, dance and crafts, for male and female refugees and asylum-seekers.
This will provide beneficiaries with positive, structured and culturally sensitive things to do, whilst gaining advice and signposting to relevant external agencies, with the aim of promoting community cohesion and integration.
The group runs at the U-Mix Centre on Wednesday mornings from 11am-12.30, and new members are always welcome to come along.
