Football for women seeking sanctuary

,FURD in partnership with Voluntary Action Sheffield has set up some daytime football sessions, particularly aiming to welcome women seeking sanctuary, but open to all women. 

The sessions are supported by a grant from Sheffield & Hallamshire County Football Association and are free to attend.

They take place at the U-Mix Centre on alternate Tuesdays from 11am-1pm. The session starts with an hour or so of football practices and games with qualified female coaches. This is followed by free refrreshments and a chat inside. Bus fares can be refunded for women seeking sanctuary. We may also be able to lend suitable footwear for football.
