Easter events, exhibitions and cappuccino

The Easter break gave many young people the opportunity to take part in FURD events in Sheffield, as well as enabling some of FURD's team of Millennium Volunteers to work alongside FURD staff to build up their volunteering hours and experience. Over 100 people attended both an inter-school Streetkick tournament at Springfield School and under-12 and under-16 5-a-side tournaments at Powerleague (formerly known as Pitz) - which were won by teams from the Shirecliffe area. Meanwhile last night was the launch of the History of Black Footballers Exhibition at Simunye ("We are One") coffee shop on London Road, Sheffield. Why not call in and see it between now and 12th May, whilst sampling what a local paper recently described as the the third best coffee in Sheffield!
