Community Day at Bramall Lane Sunday 22nd May

Don’t forget, you’re invited to Bramall Lane on Sunday 22nd May, when Football Unites and Sheffield United proudly present their 6th annual Community Day. Admission is free to the event which kicks off at 1pm and finishes at 5pm. The day is an opportunity for people to visit the club and enjoy an afternoon of free entertainment.

On the pitch will be small-sided games involving invited teams of local young people, including for the first time a girls’ tournament. The day will end with an 11-a-side match for the Community Cup between local teams Sharrow Athletic and Surud United. Sharing the pitch will be a bouncy castle and slide, and Streetkick, our inflatable mini-football pitch! Off the pitch, in the executive suites in the John Street stand, you’ll find food, displays and entertainment. There’ll be an exhibition about Albert Johanneson, the South African player who, 40 years ago this month, became the first black player to play in an English FA Cup final. There’ll also be a clown, DJs, cheerleaders, community group stalls, face painting, henna painting, hair braiding, beauty therapy and more…
