Black Lives Matter

Football Unites Racism Divides (FURD) stands in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
 
The senseless and shocking killing of George Floyd has once again highlighted the systemic racism that exists in modern society.
 
Racism is a cancer of society that we must all work together to eradicate… where prejudice, inequality and injustice lie, we must all take a stance and say NO! Black Lives Matter is not simply a statement that shouts one set of lives is more important than another, but, in contrast, a movement that seeks to highlight and address the many inequalities and inconsistencies black communities face.
 
FURD works locally, nationally and internationally to combat racism and increase understanding between different communities.

A Justice for Black Lives protest will take place on Devonshire Green, Sheffield, at 1pm on June 6.
