Belonging Together for refugee and asylum-seeking women

01 Dec 2015 / News

We are now running both women's and men's groups for refugees and asylum-seekers on Wednesdays, 10-1.30pm at the U-Mix Centre.

The 'Belonging Together' groups offer opportunities to play football, try different kinds of dance, use a computer and access help to learn English. There is a free shared meal for all at 1pm.

The new women's group has been made possible by a grant from the Wharfedale Foundation and the lead worker is Katelyn McKeown.

Refugees and asylum-seekers are welcome to just turn up, but we are also happy to take referrals from other organisations. Please get in touch using the contact details above.
