You are invited to join us at the U-Mix Centre to enjoy the All Nations Football Festival on Sunday 23rd June, between 10am and 5pm. The event is held during Refugee Week and its main focus is a football tournament which particularly welcomes teams that include refugees or asylum-seekers.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com🏢office" />
The festival aims to use football to help newcomers to integrate and engage with their new communities and to promote a sense of belonging. Anyone wishing to enter a team should phone Chris or Simon at FURD on 0114 2587787 to check whether there are any places remaining.
This is the 11th year that FURD has run the All Nations festival, but we are delighted to be able to host it at our home the U-Mix Centre for the first time.
Off the pitch, there will be the chance to play on the Streetkick inflatable football pitch as well as other family activities and food.
