An anthology of 30 articles by distinguished contributors chronicling the way Britain and its sense of self have changed over the last 30 years. It includes an article about racism and football by Brendon Batson. The book also includes poems and photographs which reflect contemporary Britain. The book was published to mark the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Commission for Racial Equality and the end of an era in the way that Britain has tackled discrimination in society, coming on the eve of the creation of the Commission for Equality and Human Rights to promote all forms of equality.
