Memoir of Samuel Drix, a doctor from Lwow in Poland. Lwow had a Jewish community of 160,000 people before World War 2 when it was subjected to the Nazis' 'final solution', and the Jewish population came close to complete eradication. Drix was one of the few survivors, having lost nearly all his family and friends. He escaped from a concentration camp and eventually a woman's love gave him the will to carry on.
