A collection of photos by the celebrated photographer Jansje Wissema of the District Six area of Cape Town, South Africa. In 1966 the area was reserved under the Group Areas Act for white ownership and occupation, and in 1968 a programme of forced removal and demolition began. The book was first published in 1986 and is complemented by a text by Adam Small.
