This dissertation was completed in part fulfilment of the BA (Hons) Historical Studies degree at Sheffield Hallam University in 2006. The author made extensive use of the Football Unites library for his research and was awarded a First for the dissertation. It looks at how the anti-racism in football movement has been responsible for the rewriting of history by helping to uncover and publicise the presence of black footballers since the beginniing of the professional game.
