In September 2016, a group from FURD travelled to the Grande-Synthe migrant camp near Dunkirk in northern France to play in The Liberte Cup, a football tournament bringing together refugees from the camp and football fans from across Europe, showcasing how the beautiful game can be used as a massive force for good.
A 22-minute documentary about the tournament, providing an insight into the lives of some of the participants and the part that football can play in their lives, was made by Copa90 and has now been published on the ITV Hub.
