We are pleased to be supporting Sheffield's Great Get-Together at Heeley City Farm this Sunday, 18th June between 11am and 3.30pm. We'll be there with Streetkick, our inflatable football pitch, to show that we all have #moreincommon than divides us.
The Sheffield event is one of hundreds of Great Get Togethers taking place across the country on the same weekend, inspired by Jo Cox, who was murdered on 16 June 2016. This is a chance for people to share food, have fun and bring our communities together.
This family-friendly, FREE event will be a great day out with music, maypole dancing, food, children's games and activities, stalls, a 'speaker's tent', a community art project, a community activity in solidarity with the people of Batley & Spen, and loads more fun! It's being organised by Hope Not Hate, Assist and Sheffield Amnesty International.
This will also be our chance to demonstrate a positive and united Britain at the same time. We really hope you can join us - please bring some food to share for the picnic if you can!
The Great Get Together website (see link below) says:
"We believe there is a groundswell of people who reject divisive politics and simply want to bring our communities together and celebrate all that unites us. This is our chance."
