Sharrow Under 21s march on as 16 year old Stacey Hall breaks new ground

Sixteen year old referee Stacey Hall took centre stage as Sharrow United Under 21s continued their recovery after losing four of their first five games.

Stacey is believed to be one of the youngest female referees to take charge of an adult game in the Meadowhall Sunday League and maintained firm control throughout.

Despite taking an early lead through leading scorer Abdullah Ahmed, Sharrow were behind 2-1 at half time. A fine glancing header from Abdulahi Nur brought Sharrow level only for Hollinsend to regain the lead with 20 minutes to go.

However a storming finish saw Sharrow grab three goals in the last ten minutes, through Abdi Mohammed and second goals for both Ahmed and Nur.
