Sharrow back on cup trail

Sharrow United returned from their long lay-off due to Ramadan, with a 1-0 away win against Meadowhall Division One opponents, Royal Oak Beighton, in round two of the Sheffield and Hallamshire Sunday Senior Cup.

The only goal of the game was scored by Oday Ibrahim, but Sharrow spurned at least half a dozen golden opportunities to put the game well beyond their higher division opponents. Nevertheless, this was an impressive display, especially as it was their first game for a month.

Sharrow are at home in the third round against Rotherham Sunday League outfit Sir Colin Campbell, at their Warminster Road ground on November 5th.
