Kyle Walker made his long-awaited England debut on Saturday November 12th, coming on as a substitute for the last five minutes of England's 1-0 victory over world champions Spain in a friendly at Wembley. Three days later, he not only played the full match in England's 1-0 friendly win over Sweden, but was also voted Man of the Match.
Walker, who was first recommended to Sheffield United by Football Unites, Racism Divides when he was nine, has been on the verge of playing for England on a few occasions, but injuries, match postponement and team selection have conspired to make him wait. He is now being talked about as a serious contender for a place in England's squad at the Euro 2012 championships.
