Sheffield United will be hosting this year's Community Day at Bramall Lane on Sunday 17th May from 1pm-4pm. The club will be welcoming the local community to a free afternoon of football, entertainment and fun at the ground. This year FURD has passed on the organisation and running of the annual event to United but FURD will be there in support.

The day kicks off at 11am with a special challenge match between FURD-supported Sharrow United of the Meadowhall Sunday League, and the world's first football club, Sheffield FC, which will feature many ex Sheffield United legends.

The Community Day will follow the match at 1pm with lots to do, including mini football tournaments, boxing demonstrations, pre-school children's activities, food from around the world, dance demonstration, Streetkick, children's entertainment, local arts and craft stalls, cricket games and live music from Craine.

For more information about entering a football team, music, dance, stalls or volunteering, please email the United Initiative at community@sufc.co.uk.
