Two further protégés of FURD Talent Identification Officer Luis Silva were unveiled to the 19,000 crowd at the Sheffield United v Swindon Town game on 13th April. Fahad Ishmail joined the Academy as a 13 year old, having been coached through the Blades development centre after being recommended by Luis. Kleh Her, whose family originate in Thailand, is an exciting attacking player who again was spotted at a FURD coaching session.

SUFC Academy Manager Nick Cox commented "We are pleased to welcome the most recent group of Academy players, who recently signed scholarships. This group of lads will train at Shirecliffe on a full-time basis from July. They will represent the U18s and will undertake an intense schedule. Our ultimate aim for these prospects is for them to obtain a professional contract at the end of their two-year scholarship programme".

FURD Joint Co-ordinator Simon Hyacinth welcomed the news of the 2 signings, saying "We are very proud that Fahad and Kleh have continued their improvement since joining the Blades as young players. We wish them well and sincerely hope they reach the levels of the previous FURD Academy scholars, Kyle Walker, Aymen Tahar and Liban Abdi, all of whom are playing at the top level."
