Over 1,000 people attend our summer/Eid festival

Our Eid/summer festival was a great success on Sunday 2nd July,with well over a thousand people attending the free event in beautiful weather at Lowfield Park outside the U-Mix Centre.

The festival, organised in partnership with the i-Aspire Foundation, offered fun and entertainment for all the family, including performances from local singers and dance groups, a football tournament, zorb football, Streetkick, outdoor table tennis, boxing, bouncy slide, last one standing, market stalls, barbecue and other food and drink stalls.

Congratulations to Sheffield Bengal who won the football tournament.

Many thanks to all the workers and volunteers for all their hard work and good will to make it happen, and to everyone who came along - it was great to see so many people from the local community enjoying themselves together.
